An exhibition of works by Ilkana Guliyeva, the art director of Tumbul village Culture House subordinated to the Department of Culture and Tourism of Nakhchivan city, under the motto \”Nakhchivan-Capital of Islamic Culture 2018\” was held at the Music and Art School named after A. Javid on April 13.
Tarana Jafarova, the head of the Nakhchivan City Culture and Tourism Department, stated that Ilkana Guliyeva was born on August 23, 1988 in Nakhchivan, she studied at the secondary school No.705 in 1995-2006, and entered the Fine Arts faculty of Nakhchivan State University in 2008 and graduated from the University in 2012. During her studies at the university she was interested in handicrafts and exhibitions.
Ilkana Guliyeva has been working as art director of Tumbul village Cultural House subordinated to the department since October 16, 2017, and made decorative and applied arts works in a short period of time. The exhibition featured 20 works of stained glass, mosaic and quilting. Teaching these works to members of the association is aimed at preserving the traditions of our people, further developing their creative abilities, forming a moral, artistic and aesthetic outlook of the younger generation, and further strengthening of patriotism in young people.
The visitors were interested in her works.
During the exhibition Ahmadov Ulvi Rufat oghlu performed works of world classics on the piano.
